Voyagers Camper-Madison Howard

Madison plays tons of fun group games in her camp.  I asked Madison which group game was her favorite and she told me, "I really like to play Kings Keys”.  She enjoys her camp.  That’s why she has spent 2 of her summers here.

Crusader Camper-Jkharre Giles

Jkharre said  "I like swimming, and playing flag football", with his camp.  And even though it is first summer here, he really likes the Y camp that they provide for us.

Teen Camper-Sarah Reade

One of Sarah’s things about this summer is how she was able to be a part of the community, and she has built up the courage to become a leader this summer. She loves doing our community in service projects, such as the Food Drive, making 150 lunch bags for the homeless.  This week Teen Camp did a Toy Drive, collecting toys for the children's wing at Sunrise Hospital.  All teens participate in teen camp, and with her enthusiasm, she loves it here every day.  She says, “Of course I love it here, I’ve been coming here for 5 summers for a reason.

TOGETHER WE CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING!
The Centennial Hills YMCA had two great local organizations come in and do a presentation for our campers on Friday, July 11th. Clean the World brought in supplies to make 160 hygiene kits to donate to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth. The campers had the opportunity to put together these kits that included shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, a toothbrush, recycled soap and a washcloth. These kits will be handed out to homeless youth across the valley. Great job guys!
